a controversial decision to American Tyrell Biggs at the
1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles Lennox Lewis
decided to stay an amatuer boxer for another 4 years and
compete in the 1988
Summer Olympics in Seoul Korea where he defeated future
world champion Riddick Bowe by a second round technical
knockout to win a gold medal for Canada. He moved back
to England and turned pro shortly after that. |
