Brett Hull
was the last player to officially score 50 goals in 50
games when he did it during the 1991-92 season. He also
scored 50 in 50 in the 1990-1991 season.
Cam Neely (1993-94), Mario Lemieux (1992-93,1995-96),
and Alexander Mogilny (1992-93) all scored 50 goals in
their first 50 games since Hull's 50/50, but not
their teams first 50 games. The NHL requires the player
to get their 50th goal within the teams first 50 games
to qualify for '50 in 50' status. Mario did it earlier
in his career. |
